dream today

i dreamed there was an album, by someone resembling Heatmiser but that wasn't Heatmiser, that i found that was the best album ever, and that i was buying it on amazon. i think. i remember also vaguely waking up and thinking to myself, i need to go back and finish that purchase, and trying to go back to sleep for a few minutes.

i am still upset that instead of playing NWN right now i'm sitting here pondering what to do. that fifty dollar game was supposed to keep me from hundreds of dollars of other sorts of spending.

Heatmiser as a pop star, huh? I expect Coldmiser would have been pissy about that.

You remember such entertaining dreams... The strangest one I had recently was one of those ones that was so vivid, that after waking up, and a day later, I thought the events had happened. I drove by (in the dream) the local Kroger, and it was suddenly a Giant. Via that magic of the dream world, I also knew, with a deep assurance, that another grocery store was now a Safeway... For some reason the shock carried through, and a couple of days later I was planning on going krogering, and suddenly thought "No, wait, it's a Giant, isn't it... No wait..."

Heatmiser is Elliot Smith's old band. I've only heard one of their albums.

I think part of the reason I remember dreams so well is that I jump right on LJ, or onto my Palm, and write them down. :)

Heatmiser is also the name of one of rankin-bass's characters. He rules the parts of the earth where it's warm. Coldmiser, his brother, is in charge of all things cold. They're both children of Mother Nature, and they both sing... Coldmiser is a friend of Santa Claus. Mrs. Claus had to get his help to let it snow in july so that Santa wouldn't quit his job...

Ask Denise or Telf if they remember heatmiser and coldmiser :-).
