Climate is a huge thing for me. I like seasons and all, but I hate snow. Going south has been bubbling around in my mind. But like you I have a sigoth who is very much entrenched here. Now that said, I am VERY entrenched. LJ is a great communicator but if I moved to, say, Chapel Hill, I'd know exactly three people to hang out with. Four if Jack came with me. That could be really troublesome. I take having a varied and rich social life for granted a little.

Sometimes I think - would my friends be hurt if I moved away someday? Is that even something people think though?

Oh - climate is a dealbreaker for me in that I never want to live in severe snow country again. But other than that, I figure I have e-connections to scattered friends already and I will meet excellent people anywhere. I would love to be sort of migratory but it turns out that employers hate that!

This is a big attraction for nursing for me. There are floating temporary jobs. It's a portable skill set to the extent that you can get licenses to travel from state to state.
