Most hilarious blog post about Neil Finn ever:

I'll Soon Be Single [ed's note] Not a comment on my life, just a headline for his post. As a faithful reader pointed out, sometimes when you skim, links are all you read.

I am so tired. But I want to upload things to flickr. But tired! Also my arm hurts and just how the hell will I ever sleep tonight.

And here I'm thinking that a boyfriend who even knows who Neil Finn is would be a nice thing to have.

I also see both the posters belief that Neil writes sensative songs, and that of a later commentator that he's cold hearted. There are a lot of domesticy songs- tables, houses, kitchens, knees.

But a lot fo them aren't exactly sappy paeons to a pure magical love. And that is what I love about him.

And the thing he doesn't mention is that Neil is the rare famous artist who is, hey, still with his first wife. Definitely an appealing proof of his Mr. Perfectness.

Oh, and every boyfriend I have ever had? Knows who Neil Finn is. If he didn't when he met me, he sure came away from the interaction knowing. To many of my partners' credit, they appreciate his work.

Unrelated, but I heard this this weekend, and thought you might want a listen:
This American Life:
"In the wake of a break-up, writer Starlee Kine finds so much comfort in break-up songs that she decides to try and write one herself—even though she has no musical ability whatsoever. For some help, she goes to a rather surprising expert on the subject: Phil Collins."
