This is like, the week of stupid ideas. Last night I had box-making ideas for my BPAL imps, and implemented TWO of them. I took one apart this morning because it was dumb. Then on the way home from work I was listening to the mix of Monkees songs I had made for my band so they would hopefully want to cover one, and realized I should post to craigslist and form an all-girl Monkees cover band. Then on the way TO work this morning, I noticed this one particularly picturesque field as you come off 97 onto Crownsville Rd, and had an elaborate idea for staging a performance art piece that you could repeat every time the light changed right in that perfect spot. Anyways, onto the latest stupid idea, one which often rears its ugly head: the theme party. Many of you might remember my 80s party, hopefully a fond memory for all concerned. I've considered just doing another one! And that reminded me that I never did throw another chili cook-off, and now it's getting warm and chili is far less appetizing in the warm weather.

Poll #959727 Stupid Ideas Go!

If you were going to attend a theme party, what would you want the theme to be?

Chili Cook-Off: Who Cares About the Weather!

wow, that intrigues me. My chili is vegan but it's beany. And not everyone digs beany.

I believe it's soy flake (pre-tofu), peppers, peanuts, & mushrooms; surprisingly tasty for such a vile concoction.

Both of the people who've said they would make chili so far are either vegetarian or offered to make vegetarian chili at the last cook-off. So that's something!

My chili would be all meat with some extra meat thrown in for flavor. Unless you want to do an all vegetarian chili cookoff... I could get behind that.

I particularly like the meat on meat version of chili.

I'm gonna agree with this, except that I have no problem with eating beans.  Everyone else might have a problem with me eating beans, but I've got no problem with it.
