"You know whats going on in that Bermuda Triangle?
Down in the Bermuda Triangle?

Elvis needs boats.
Elvis needs boats.
Elvis Elvis Elvis Elvis
Elvis Elvis Elvis needs boats.
"

midwinter, I am done with your cd! I am also done with audition weeks. Can we get down to Hollywood now?

The chainsaw is clearly just for opening the beer. Geez.

I was really disappointed with most of the commercials this year. I liked some of them, but it seemed like less people cared.

The chainsaw was probably (one of) the funniest. The one about the GM machine that lost its job was really awfully sad. :(

Seriously.
Were there far fewer 'Super Bowl style' commercials this year or am I imagining it? It seemed like there were far more network commercials than humorous ones.

The GM machine one made me all sad too. I was mad at them.

I know, right? I was so sure they would be over by now.

I haven't heard that song in forever.

Best Commercial: "Everyone wants to work in marketing."

Worst Commercial: Coca Cola equating the Super Bowl commercials up with MLK, Rosa Parks, and other such moments. Pardon me whilst I kick them to the curb...again. Yes, the color of the coaches is important. Problem is, it shouldn't have been.

Well GoDaddy at least had the good sense to NOT try and cover up their marketing plan. Boobies for the win. It's when advertisers try to downplay the sex, or try to make it seem like anything other than a cheap ploy, that bothers me. This was just shameless, unabashed, "here's some sex for you" advertising. It made me laugh at the absurdity of it.

And, for the record "Brokeback Snickers Bar" commercial needs to go away, forever!

On the topic of Rosa Parks and misguided advertising:
Yesterday I saw a large billboard on a bus commemorating the passing of this fine woman (Born date-Died date) with a touching epitaph. Where was this no doubt well-intentioned sign placed, you ask? ON THE BACK OF THE BUS. Ugh.
