You guys get to see this stupid meme ONLY because six is so easily misreadable. And it allows me to use my new book club icon.

On the twelfth day of Christmas, snidegrrl sent to me...
Twelve vimes drumming
Eleven typewriters piping
Ten books a-leaping
Nine armadillos singing
Eight genesis a-reading
Seven tattoos a-volunteering
Six diverticulitis a-bowling
Five ora-a-a-ange cats
Four thrift stores
Three gilmore girls
Two phil collins
...and a rushmore in a sociology.

Mr. Burns: "I don't remember writing a check for bowling."
Smithers: "Uh, sir, that's a check for your boweling."
Mr. Burns: "Oh, yes. That's very important."
Smithers: "Yes, sir. Remember that month you didn't do it?"
Mr. Burns: "Yes...that was unpleasant for all concerned."

The idea of Phil Collins doing a live drum duet with himself...

... oh, my primitive nervous system.

Stupid mean Emily.

Though I will say - after this season, I think all the Gilmore Girls are stupid.

Me, too! It's so sad; I never thought I'd see the day I didn't care if I missed an episode. *sigh*

yeah, i hear ya. :( unfortunately i think it is a sign that the series may have gone past its natural end. time for the writers to wrap it up and magically create a happily-ever-after of sorts. in my fantasy world, that means lorelai + luke, and rory + jess. yeah, i know... everyone i have discussed this with HATES that idea. i'm beginning to suspect i'm the only one among my friends who ever gave jess a chance. sure he had his faults, but i think that surviving independently in the big city for a few years would have done a lot to grow him up, and turn him into someone rory could be with. i always thought they were such great foils for each other, and that when they grew up they might be able to maintain a balanced relationship that would benefit them both. plus? they'd make beautiful babies.

or fuck, they could just end the series by showing rory enjoying a fulfilling single life, further developing her sense of self. that'd be okay too. :)

as long as she doesn't ride off into the sunset with tristan logan. so, so not into that guy.

oh, i'm so glad! :) the other folks i usually talk to about this show were too put off by his i'm-so-misunderstood thing, but duh, he's *supposed* to be an adolescent! also i have one friend for whom any shade of infidelity is a dealbreaker, and she could not abide rory's behavior when she was supposed to be with dean. that's understandable, i suppose, but still i always wished that jess and rory would hook up again one day when they were more available, and more mature.

i guess i assumed you'd dislike jess for similar reasons as my other friend.... aren't you a declared dean gal?

Milo Ventimiglia is so hot on Heroes that it is retrospectively helping the character of Jess in my eyes. :)

I always kind of liked jess, I just thought Dean was cuter and more my type. I never thought Jess did anything totally unredeemable. I think Dean and Rory clinched the unredeemable bit a tad later. Although, they were still so young, I kind of forgive them.

hee, tim and i love jess-on-heroes. so much so that we can hardly remember his character's real name. :)

and yeah, i'm sure my jess affinity comes from some real-life types i have dated. why is that "i hate the world, but i love YOU" thing so freakin compelling? :P

But I don't forgive Logan for sleeping with all those bridesmaids, and Rory shouldn't have either!!! Or she should have at least remembered what she felt like as the "other woman" for a few seconds.

dude, totally. logan is somehow causing rory to lose self-respect left and right, and i cannot figure out why. he seriously ain't all that. reminds me way too much of a resurrected tristan.

and every time he calls her "Ace," i gag a little.
