OK sometimes I do love working from home, because I can tell you that Ellen Degeneres is looking hot today. No, I never thought I'd say that, and I like girls.

Today's survey: If you have a sun/moon roof in your car, do you actually ever use it? What do you like about having one? I mean really I've never noticed anyone really getting anything out of having one.

I love my sun roof. it opens up in both sunroof more and tilts up(i guess like a moonroof?).

I use it all the time. in fact, when I get in the car, the first thing I do is open the sunroof. I detest using the AC, so having the sunroof open on the highway is a great way to get fresh air without getting blasted.

maybe i'm so resistent because i have the frizziest hair ever. because all i can think is sunroof + highway = bird's nest!

really? I see them in use all the time. I use mine. It provides better air flow through the car. And less road noise

i liked my sunroof when i had one. i miss it a little now that i don't, but not much. i dunno, i'd open it for extra fresh air & sun?

My brother has one, and all he's ever gotten out of it is a sunburned neck.

The sunroof is by far and away my favorite feature of my car. I crack the moon roof when I park for the day; I open the sun roof to let the hot air out when I get back in. I adjust the sliding shade depending how much sun or shade I want on a minute-by-minute basis. Love, love, love the sunroof.

I use the one on my CR-V from time to time. I'm more inclinded to use the tilt-up moonroof option, since I also have "goes everywhere in a light breeze" hair and "burns under a bright lamp" skin. :)

Back in the day, the sunroof on my Subaru was great when I was out train chasing. One person could drive, and the other (often Tripp) could stick his head out the sunroof to take pictures.

I do actually use my sunroof.

I like having it open and letting the wind in. I prefer it to rolling down my windows because that's just too much blast for me.

I also like letting the sun shine on my when I'm out for a happy afternoon drive :)

I've only ever had one vehicle with a sun/moonroof, and that was the 4Runner. I loved it, but I love windy driving. I also like natural light and wearing cool shades, so I loved having the extra sunshine. It's not really like having a convertible, but you get some of the fun with less (comparatively) hair mess.

Well, I don't have one in my Fit. And I can say that it's the only thing not available for that car that would make it perfect. The Fit just cries out for some kind of openess on top. No, not a convertable, but a sun/moon roof would have been nice.

i use mine! i leave it tilted up during the day when i'm at work, and it helps keep the car cooler. i don't usually drive with it open all the way during the day, because i don't like the sun directly on me, but i often do so at night.

that was from me.

I have a Mazda 3 with a sunroof, and definitely like it.

2 cars ago I had a sunroof, and when i got my last car I was like 'ah, i don't really need it', but found that I did really miss it, so when I got my current car, I made sure that it had a sunroof.

I like my sunroof a lot, but I'm often forced to close it for reasons like Julie doesn't want her hair turning into a big knot or someone has the sun in their eyes.

in ohio? lots. in massachusetts? lots. in florida? almost never. stupid sun.

I heart my sunroof!
Actually I think Saturn calls it a moonroof, but who cares, point is, if I just vent it, it's just enough to get fresh air into the car w/o a lot of road noise. I also like to use it at night in the spring/summer so I can have fresh air without having my hair constantly blown into my mouth. (or maybe I'm just driving too fast:)

I've always thought Ellen was attractive. Her hair's a nice color, but really it's her eyes that get to me.

I would never use a sunroof, but that's my hatred of eczema speaking. :) A coworker will never get another one because his had leakage problems.

When I use my sunroof (which is rarely), I really enjoy it. It's a super-quick way to evacuate hot air out of your vehicle.

The next car I have will not have a sunroof, for the following reasons:

1. During the summer, when one would be most likely to use a sunroof, I usually have a rack + bike(s) on my car. This makes it sound like you are sitting on the wing of a plane. (It's very quiet without the rack.)

2. VWs have these freaky sunroof drains that are known to clog. When they clog, the water overflow goes into your car. Ask me how hard I cried when I learned this last year.

Once you have your interest narrowed to a few models, I would recommend looking around and finding some user forums for those specific vehicles & checking out what others have to say.

In theory I really like my sun roof, but in practice I typically forget I have one. :)
