100 songs meme

I know there are, you know, lots of real life things to talk about and journal. But until I have time to make a post that actually contains full sentences, this will have to do. Oh, and if someone has ever heard #100 do tell.

Directions for the meme:
Go to musicoutfitters and put your birth year into the search blicky. The first link is likely the top 100 songs of that year. Cut and paste that list here. Bold the ones you actually like. Understand that the word "like" in this case means, in the very least, "wouldn't immediately change the radio station from." Pick a favorite. Underline that favorite.

It would be pretty easy to morph this into a truly disturbing, "Subtract one year from that of your birth and try to find the soundtrack of your conception," meme. *SHUDDER*

No one wants to discuss the fact that, in the case of those born in 1976, it may have been, "You ain't seen nothin' yet." Eww.

I can't comment on this because my fingers are in my ears and I'm typing "LA LA LA LA LA LA" really loudly.

Which is quite a feat, let me tell you.

I once quit a job because of #65. We had a piped-in 200 song rotation, and I was doing something erally annoying involving silk flowers (this was at a crafts store), and that song came on for the 4th time that day, and I was like, you know what? I QUIT!

Olive does a cover of 'I'm not in love' that I adore.

Of all the songs on this list, the one that I have the most vivid memory of is the Captain and Tenille, because it's the only one I ever had the album of, sad to say.

My family looooooved its Captain and Tenille.

It's kind of neat to see a list from a time period where I was actually listening to music.

If you'd ever heard the song 'At 17' I think you'd love it.
"At 17, I learned the truth, that love was made for beauty queens
And bright-eyed girls with clear-skinned smiles"...
(and then goes on to destroy this myth, lyrically)

We studied it as poetry in grade 10 English.

I'll make a note to look that one up on iTunes too. :) Thanks!

I don't think I've heard either of those, and if I had I bet I would bold them!
