Spreading the love, for those types that are interested: feminist_gamers. It just started and all but who knows, it could be the antidote to all the hateful crap you have to read through on ign forums or the like.

Thanks for the tip -- I'll give it a look-see!

Thanks - I just applied to that community
Coincidentally, I love the Lunachicks. I even opened for them way back in the day.

I hope they let me in the community.

Did they let you in? There hasn't been much action. I was kind of proud of writing my history of gaming. :)

I just learned about the LUnachicks at the march for choice benefit concert this year. I am hopelessly unhip.

What kind of music/what instrument did/do you play?

Yup they let me in
You're definitely right - not much action. But i haven't been checking up on things being back in school etc. Although I am wasting much, much time on Sid Meier's Pirates (PC game). You found a new hobby in the Warcraft MMORPG, I take it?

I don't know most of the musicians you mention, so I am not hip either.

I played so-called punkrawk but it was more like free jazz. I played guitar and sang/screamed. That was in a band called Choobie & The Bubbles, hence my moniker. Later I rawked in the Gringo Stars. I haven't played out in more than a year, since I moved from Portland. It was in Vermont, at Bennington College, where we opened for the Lunachicks a few times. fun times.
