OK, I guess that juggling 3 different PC games officially makes me a "gamer". I started Civ III last night, and all I can say is, damn did they make this game ten thousand times harder than Civ II. I am unamused - you should be able to choose an easy setting that's actually easy, IMHO. So, I feel like such an idiot that I actually am reading the manual. I look online, and see that I could read for a solid month and still not absorb all the tips and tricks. Yikes!

Also stopped by Tea for the first time in oh... 2 months? That was nice. I should stop by more often, for sure.

Work is work. I'm trying not to be hypocritical about pickiness - i.e. not get het up about someone else being picky, and then turn around and be picky myself. Right now I am excited about the fact that nixieq's friend emailed me about her MSW experience at UMB. Exultate! It is distracting me from work however.

Re: Civ III = Frustration
Agreed. And all the bloody cities defecting all the time. Why'd they make it so annoying to win by world domination? ;) I'd often end up completely massacring and leveling cities of an enemy civilization just because I was tired of them defecting two turns after I conquered them.

I think Civ II was the best.

Re: Civ III = Frustration
You should be able to set the defection rate!!!

Man I can tell that this game is only going to get LESS fun! :(

Re: Civ III = Frustration
*ahem* pardon the obvious question, but if it's not fun, why play it? but maybe i'm being overly logical. >;)

Re: Civ III = Frustration
I couldn't really know whether it would be fun or not until I tried it. I've asked alot of people and read stuff but I just couldn't decide until I've given it a shot... I will keep giving it a shot until frustration outranks fun. :)

I play MP. It's a little hard to find friends on closed, and you can't make your own games, which I am hoping they change.
