I finally got my hands on a copy of Vacuum by the Watch a while ago, and I listened. It was good, but didn't hook me. Today track 4 came up on shuffle, and I was like 'oh shit, what is that! i love that!'. This happens alot because I buy a slew of prog cds and forget which is which because I listen to them all in rapid succession. Anyways, the Watch is to Genesis like Oasis thought they were to the Beatles. Or so the fans say ad nauseam. But this album is very Lamb-esque and that is a-ok with me.

At any rate, I can't get enough of this track right now, and it's been waiting here for me since September.

So, I was having a conversation with a friend here in Austin the other day, and I was like, "Can you think of a single prog band with a woman in it?" And we both thought, and thought, and couldn't think of one. Are there any?

I can think of several prog bands with women in them, but they are universally the singer. Curved Air is the first one that leaps to mind. This band that was at ProgDay had women in it!

But yeah. It's sufficiently bad to cause alarm.

Ah! I've heard of Curved Air before, but haven't heard their stuff.
