Apr. 4th, 2006

I ran two flag captures last night. Unreal. I joined a group for AB, which was fine, but then 5 people bailed, and Shirley was like, let's do WSG! We have a druid! To which I always respond with "nooooo!!". But it was not so bad, even though I was only able to complete 2 caps because the Alliance had a crap PUG and the rest of my group were pros from the Chants de Maldoror. We did a 1 man D thing. It worked. *shrug* I might make Sr Seargeant next week. And on top of that, they invited me to their weekly MC run. That gives me three weekly WoW events, which I think is about all I can handle. I mean, I think that's all the hours I have to give to WoW.

A Genesis friend sent this:
"On Wednesday of this week, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be: 01:02:03 04/05/06. That won't ever happen again at least not on this planet [for 100 years]." I'll be sure to point out to him that it will happen again. :)

Celebrate this numeric holiday in whatever way you please.

I'm going grocery shopping tonight and I don't know what to buy. Aigh.

Not if you don't expect the planet to last another hundred years. >;-)

I don't expect to live another 100 years, anyways!

I'm holding out my excitement for 2006-05-04 03:02:01. 2001-02-03 04:05:06 was such a let-down.

LOLz
2006-05-04 is the night of goth prom at the very least... maybe there will be some special portent of some kind... or a special after prom party for someone, somewhere, or something. yeah.

Re: LOLz
:) After-goth-prom would be 2006-05-05 03:02:01, or maybe 2006-05-05 04:04:04 would make more sense, in the arbitrary pattern recognition game.

Of course, if you're British it'll happen next month.

What are the other two WoW weekly events, BTW?

Monday night guild instance nights (used to be 'raid' night but now we can't 15 man powerhouse things anymore, so who knows.) and Tuesday night guild PvP.

How long do you spend in MC? Once a fortnight is plenty for me to try that one. It seems to take forever and only two or three people benefit from any given run. ZG is just about as bad, except that the coins drop like rain.

Since I've been basically once, and we barely got anywhere, I don't know! I was told it's 5 hours for the sunday part. This part of the game is too damn hard. Yeah, in ZG I have never seen all the bosses killed. I've never even completed any of the coin quests or raised my reputation with them to the next level. I think we should turn our guild nights into ZG nights because we definitely have more than 20 60s, but people never log on on time for guild raids so. I mean, I'm happy to be in a casual guild. I think for big things we just need to latch on to other guilds, which, fortuantely there are a few good ones.

Our guild considers itself to be a "family" guild. We can regularly get enough people to run parts of ZG (generally we try to get the whole place wiped out over three consecutive nights). We've had 38 people at MC from the guild one time. I just get so frustrated with how small the benefits seem to be, and how arbitrary some of the looting gets (in my opinion).

I'd recommend us to you, but we're not on the same server (and we're Alliance, too).

I would love to turn our guild nights into ZG runs, but we just don't have the commitment. Theoretically, we have the people, but we need commitment from certain people to get anything resembling class balance. Which is sad. We don't need a LOT of class balancing but just a wee bit.

I can't say much about it, really, since my interest kind of waxes and wanes, and my plan to play a really useful class so that no matter how much downtime I want, when I come back people still need me, worked out really well. But yeah. Commit better, Corsairs! ;)

Heh! Someone else posted the same thing and I asked if they thought the world would be ending soon.
