List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your Livejournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to...

1. Michael Murphy - Wildfire (because for whatever reason, i like to hold back a spontaneous sob form time to time.)

2. Genesis - Paperlate (there is a mailing list I'm on that is called 'paperlate' and every time i get a new digest, i must listen to the song.)

3. Enya - Carribean Blue (no idea why, but this popped into my head unbidden the other day and it's been cheering me since.)

4. Abdominal, D-Sisive & DJ Format - 3 Feet Deep (of this list, this is the one i recommend people give a listen.)

5. The Monkees - Sunny Girlfriend (i put it on a mix challenge, a mix challenge i have been listening to over and over.)

6. Brand X - Sun in the Night (i just feel sunny lately, what can i say? and phil collins singing in sanskrit, right? my alarm wakes me up with this song.)

7. Rush - Subdivisions (someone on my friends list, ahem, mentioned this song giving her chills, so i've been listening to it since with a new ear.)

I am charged with 7 taggings. So I shall tag:

1. necrocannibal (someone i see on a regular basis)
2. tzel (someone i have known more than ten years)
3. mountainwitch (someone i once spent a great deal of time with and now never see, sadly)
4. dragonballzzz (someone i met at That Job)
5. sonicage (someone who should be posting this kind of thing regardless)
6. bitchiekittie (someone i met on livejournal but not in person yet)
7. prakriti (someone who lives in a different country)

"Caribbean Blue" has an unbidden popping into the head quality for me too.

I don't think I had heard the actual song since maybe 1990.

I cannot do it in my own journal, as I have an aversion bordering on fear of doing that! I admit that I am slightly mentally disturbed.

but I will do it here, as commanded, in no particular order:

1. I don't know who the artist is, but it's called cherry blossom color season, and it's my favorite track from the katamari soundtrack. I keep listening to it over and over

2. the slits - heard it through the grapevine - this has been on my personal favorites soundtrack for years now, and I believe it might just stay there forever. there are about a dozen songs that could take up this whole list every time someone asked me this, but I'll try some that haven't been around forever!

3. helen love - debbie loves joey - very happy, danceable track

4. neko case and her boyfriends - no need to cry - country flavored track that's irresistable, you just have to sing along to it. "you'll be in my arms, again"

5. all girl summer fun band - dreamy you - a song I fell in love with years ago, and have re-discovered, happily. VERY good to listen to when spring first starts warming up the air enough to roll down your car windows!

6. the munsters theme song, full version - not sure who sings it. I used this song to head up a halloween cd I burned, but I now hate the cd, but this song is fun, and I'm doing all I can do keep halloween going.

7. buzzcocks - love is lies - I have no idea why I find this song so catchy. LOVE IS NICE!

Thank you! I will investigate these interesting choices. :)

Particularly the first since another one of my recent favorites is "Cherry Blossom Girl" by Air.

Dear god, that song used to make me bawl when I was a kid.

It makes me bawl now!!

Despite the fact that, as Jen mentioned, "frost" in itself is hardly ever "killing".

Oh, I take pleasure in it, but I refuse to feel guilty. :)

Right after that one in my iTunes purchased music list, however, is one I feel a little guilty for, namely, America's "You Can Do Magic".

Great, back up the song "Wildfire" with a song that has the line "You're the one who can put out the fire".
