mourn the shoelace

I am in a frenzy of last-minute cleaning for a chili cookoff to be held in my house tonight. The cats always hate this, but they particularly hate this today because I have accidentally vacuumed up their latest favorite toy, the ex-combat-boot-lace. I also think I found either a rubber band or a twisty tie in a cat turd while scooping today. Must be more vigilant about the office supplies. poor kitty.

jack admitted today that he likes a genesis song. 'trick of the tail'. it is a banner day.

aaggghhh why do i leave absolutely everything til the last minute.

Have you heard, "Land of Confusion" (Genesis Cover) by Disturbed?

I love it.

i'm guessing your cats are indoor cats so this probably isn't the case, but be warned that some kinds of worms look like rubber bands. ask boadiccea; she's seen 'em. their cat zora was apparently carrying them when they adopted her. they're easy to get rid of, if that's the case.

i don't want to be alarmist, though. if neither of them go outside and you've had them for how long now?, it probably was, in fact, a rubber band or twisty tie, because they wouldn't be exposed to worms. poor kitty, indeed.

yay chili success! >:D

the worm thing did cross my mind! i am keeping an eye out for any other signs. i strongly suspect it was an office supply of some sort though.
