so, in looking around idly while testing circuits, i decided that if they ever make a movie of h.p. lovecraft's life, they should by all means get hugh laurie to star in it.

oh crap, wash my brain

If only he would agree to it. So, has a movie been made about Lovecraft?

Personally, I would get Alan Cummings to play Lovecraft.

Alan Cumming lost my vote with The Anniversary Party, as you know. I refuse to cast him in anything I produce!!! Oh wait.

The only biographical Lovecraft thing I can find is The Case of Howard Phillips Lovecraft, which is a 45-minute French made-for-TV documentary.

Hollywood doesn't exactly have a love affair with Lovecraft, even if Stuart Gordon does. I think they're missing a bet!

Wow, getting a copy of THAT would be a coup for the Christmas list for the discerning Lovecraft fan. They didn't have it on ebay, they only had this.

What an awful thing to show to a Lovecraft fan who's flat broke! =)

Man, I figured that'd have a higher price on it...maybe in a few days...

that is way cool, but it says "facsimile reprint;" what is that supposed to mean there?

Re: neat
Well, Necronomicon Press I think specializes in reprints of stuff from famous writers who mainly were in Lovecraft's little circle of pulp writers. The eBay description basically says it's a reprint of an original from not long after his death, but it's still a first ed. from their press and probably about the only way to get your hands on the book anymore.

It's an interesting curiosity, definitely.
