i got home, had some wheatables (best crackers ever...) and beer, and immediately hopped in bed. i did tell the bed how much i missed it and was happy to be there. i read another hundred pages in b.c.'s book and then promptly fell asleep for a beautiful, fabulous seven straight hours with no dreams or interruptions. of course i feel all dried out because of the beer.

the whole drive home was absolutely terrifying. i can't drive in the rain. :( i don't know what to do about that.

Don't drive in the rain? :-)

In all seriousness, you may want to check and see if there are any openings for skid training and whatnot in your area. It will help teach you how to handle yourself in serious skid situations, and hopefully make it not so frightening. Check with the Defensive Driving classes in your area, and ask if they include skid training in their curriculum.

I didn't know they had skid training! Cool. I'll have to check into that.

And try not to drive in the rain as much as possible :-/

It'll get easier. I felt the same way each time I totaled a car (or had it done for me by some other crappy driver) and I was really nervous about driving but got back into it. Hell, I even felt all nervous after that I time I hit the sign on the way to your house, and still do occassionally, but, again, it gets better.
